Say what you will about truck stops, but the portions and prices at Black Bear Diner are honestly some of the best in the area. I’ve been twice now and both times were really fantastic. Highly recommend eating your fill and taking home a banana cream pie 🥧 He got a breakfast plate that had all the meats, egg, a side (those homestyle potatoes were amazing), and pancakes. I got a burger basket with sweet potato fries (I’d asked for all my veggies on the side so I could build it myself) . Another person at our table got a chorizo burrito. All of it was delish! And the wait staff is always so nice. We went rather late the first time and they were really accommodating, even when you know they’d probably had such a long day. This is over by the Cinemark in Beaumont if you didn’t know where to find it. It’s across from Cracker Barrel.

Today we had such a great experience at Black Bear. We typically visit Black Bear after church on Sundays and you can barely get in the door, and the wait time can be a bit much sometimes. But today was perfect. There was no one waiting when we arrived. We were greeted immediately and sat down by the lovely hostess Josie. In just a short wait our waitress approached (Staci) and she was such a doll, took our drink and food order right away. Coffee was hot, food was served hot and everything was prepared to perfection. Staci was very attentive and had the most beautiful disposition. To add a special touch, they have new colored placemats and menus. Thank you Black Bear for ensuring we are returning customers. **I did learn after we returned home that we could sign up for Black Bear eClub. But it was worth signing up for as we get a free breakfast. I actually preferred finding out on my own, because I do not deal well with hard sales. **

My boy Victor helped me good I didn’t know what to get. I went with the roast it was great. All the workers are very nice and full of life. I like how the menu is setup like a newspaper it was cute. At 1st glance it was ok the newspaper let’s see that I realized girl this the menu. Overall great experience I would definitely dine in again. Thanks Victor. Oh and them cooks back there doing they thing💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

So overall the food was pretty good. I ordered under the “BEAR'S CHOICE BREAKFAST ENTREE“ area. I came in and let the server know I wished to redeem my “ ENJOY A FREE BEAR'S CHOICE BREAKFAST ENTREE” code I was emailed for signing up for the emails my first time there. I let her know I don’t eat pork as well. When we were going over the options I asked her what I should get from where we saw the bears choice breakfast column is on the newspaper menu. As I’m ordering I got the eggs, side of avocado, chocolate chip pancakes and the chicken sausage links. She informs me that the avocados are extra and not apart of the coupon which is fine. The food came and I enjoyed it well enough for a diner. She came by and even checked on me a few times asking if I was ok. Fast forward when I go to pay up front at the register I show the gentleman there the coupon I am looking to redeem. It only takes of $12 but I’m told to pay $14.60. Now that’s a great price for a full breakfast and that’s not the issue. The issue is the lack of accountability on the waitress part who acted as if she informed me that I would be paying for selection of chocolate pancakes and chicken sausage links as well as the

Such a cute little diner. Had a short wait upon entering. Very nice staff and oh my goodness such great food and very large portions. Worth the price!!! We had build your own breakfast with eggs, baccon, and biscuts with gravy and an omelet with hashbrowns and a pancake on the side with chocolate chips! All soo good.
